NIKOLA JOKIĆ impressed with a brilliant performance leading the reigning NBA champions Denver Nuggets to a 114-103 victory over the LA Lakers at the start of the playoffs, but he also sparked equal reactions before the game with his styling.
NBA stars often attract a lot of attention with the fashion statements they make when arriving at games, but Jokić, in his typical anti-star style, did something unprecedented. Namely, the best player of the league champions arrived for the game against the Lakers dressed seemingly normally. In a black T-shirt with a collar and a black-gray scarf around his neck. Despite dressing normally, his styling attracted huge attention, and scenes of Jokić with the mentioned clothes and accessory have gone viral.
The reason is that Jokić appeared dressed as Gru, the villain from the cult cartoon Despicable Me. This thrilled Jokić’s fans, and the Nuggets’ profile is widely sharing a photo posted by Jokić’s club with the caption: “Did he come to play basketball or steal the moon?” The latter is what Gru does.
