Canadian driver Lance Stroll will continue to race for Aston Martin in the coming seasons, the team owned by his father, Lawrence Stroll.
Aston Martin has officially confirmed that Lance will remain with the team even after the new era of F1 regulations begins in 2026, putting an end to all speculations about his future. This information was released after he announced before the race in Spain that he would share news “soon.”
Stroll debuted for Williams in 2017, where he spent two seasons before moving to Racing Point, which became Aston Martin in 2021. This happened after the team was purchased by his father, Lawrence Stroll.
Aston Martin will thus retain the same driver lineup for the third consecutive season, with Stroll being joined by the experienced Fernando Alonso, who recently also extended his contract.
“I am very happy to stay with the team. It’s incredible to see our progress over the past five years; we have improved a lot as a team and have much to look forward to,” said Stroll.
