Mbappe

All documents are signed, sealed, and completed. Real Madrid, fresh off their Champions League victory, will announce next week that Kylian Mbappe is officially their player. Mbappe made his decision back in February on where he would continue his career, and from now on, he can be considered a Real player.

This is how Fabrizio Romano announced the realization of the historic transfer. When the most reliable source in the football market writes “Here we go,” it signifies that the deal is concluded and definitive. Given the magnitude of this transfer, which Romano was the first to hint at, he went the extra mile and recorded a special video for his over 20 million followers on X. In the video, he declared, “The saga is over. Mbappe is a Real player. This is a historic Here we go!”

Real Madrid has acquired one of the best footballers in the world without a transfer fee. Mbappe, 25, joined PSG in 2018 for 180 million euros from Monaco. Despite playing alongside Messi and Neymar, and scoring 256 goals and providing 108 assists in 308 matches for PSG, he did not manage to win the Champions League. PSG was eliminated in the semi-finals by Borussia Dortmund this year.

Mbappe has been unhappy for some time and desired to leave. The club president kept him two years ago with one of the largest contracts in football history. He earned around 6 million euros gross per month (2.7 million net) and received a 180 million euro signing bonus along with an additional 70 million at the end of each year of the contract, which was supposed to last three years. However, he was offered the option to leave for free after two seasons, which he decided to use.
