PSG was eliminated in the semi-finals by Borussia Dortmund this year.
Mbappe has been unhappy for some time and desired to leave. The club president kept him two years ago with one of the largest contracts in football history. He earned around 6 million euros gross per month (2.7 million net) and received a 180 million euro signing bonus along with an additional 70 million at the end of each year of the contract, which was supposed to last three years.
