The European Football Federation (UEFA) has designated the officiating team for the Euro final match between Spain and England.
Despite the closest candidates for officiating the final on July 14th in Berlin being Italian Daniele Orsato, Pole Szymon Marciniak, and Englishman Michael Oliver, UEFA has chosen none of these three.
UEFA has entrusted the task to Frenchman François Letexier (35), marking his fourth match at this year’s Euro.
Letexier previously officiated group stage matches between Denmark and Serbia, Croatia and Albania, and the round of 16 match between Spain and Georgia.
The officiating team for the Euro final is as follows:
Main Referee: François Letexier (France)
Assistants: Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmouni (both from France)
Fourth Official: Szymon Marciniak (Poland)
Reserve Assistant Referee: Tomasz Listkiewicz (Poland)
Chief VAR Official: Jérôme Brisard (France)
VAR Assistant: Willy Delajod (France)
VAR Support: Massimiliano Irrati (Italy)
