The Formula 1 race in Spain ended with a victory for the current champion and overall leader, Max Verstappen, marking his seventh win in the tenth race of the season.
The second to cross the finish line was McLaren driver Lando Norris, securing his fifth podium of the season and his fourth second-place finish, while Lewis Hamilton finished third.
The race start was very exciting, particularly because Mercedes driver George Russell, who started from fourth place, quickly took the lead in the first corner.
However, Russell’s lead was short-lived as Verstappen caught up and overtook him at the beginning of the third lap. The reigning champion then dictated the pace and remained in the lead, except during his tire changes.
Norris put up a remarkable fight and chased the Dutchman on fresher soft tires in the final stages, but he ran out of laps to get closer and challenge Max for the win.
In the overall standings, Verstappen has increased his lead and now has 219 points. Behind him is Norris, who has taken second place with 150 points, while Leclerc is third with 148 points.
